Manhole, chamber or pit Surveys can all be known as the same meaning and asset. Within the drainage and utilities industry and to distinguish between them, manhole surveys would be directed towards drainage related investigations, chambers being a construction to serve pump’s and / or act as holding chambers, and pit surveys dedicated more towards other utilities such as BT, Water, Gas, Electricity etc.
